Menthol has a cooling effect on the skin and can relieve itching and inflammation. It is found in several topical products because of the “fresh” feeling it leaves behind. That’s why we love it.
However, it can be a little irritating for people with very sensitive skin. If you don’t like that cooling sensation or you have particularly picky skin, you can choose to pass on the menthol and its additives, camphor and peppermint.
To understand our products, you’ll need to know an important distinction in the CBD industry: “Full-spectrum” products vs. “isolate” products. Luckily, it’s pretty simple. Although both products come from the same type of plant, hemp, full-spectrum CBD products contain traces of other cannabinoids like CBG, CBN, THC, nutrients, minerals, flavonoids (toxin-fighters), and terpenes, which help the body to absorb CBD. Terpenes also give different strains their unique scents.
Isolate products are more refined, leaving behind pure CBD with no other cannabis plant compounds. In general, isolate products are extracted from hemp plants, which already contain very low amounts of THC.
Our organic hemp full-spectrum CBD oil products make use of the “entourage effect.” While it’s still just a theory medically, many of our clients have found it to be true: Full-spectrum products tend to feel a bit “stronger,” as the combination of CBD, THC, and terpenes usually enhance the calming effects on the body.

Give Me the Science…Briefly
The body has its own endocannabinoid system (ECS). It is a subset of the nervous system and has three essential pieces:
- Endocannabinoids: Neurotransmitters that help the body function

- Enzymes: Break down endocannabinoids when their work is done
ECS receptors help handle pain, inflammation, mood, and more. The body releases endocannabinoids to regulate these functions.

The short answer: No.
